The Coldstream Guards have published personal stories from Afghanistan in a new book which includes a first hand account of Prince Harry's lucky escape from a Taliban rocket attack.

WO2 Paul Baines, who received the Military Cross for his part in evacuating a wounded soldier under fire, came up with the idea of creating this book made up of 42 personal stories.
 
The Guardsmen haven't always had a chance to share their stories so these soldiers believe writing down their stories is important both historically and personally.
 
The Coldstream Guards is one of the seven regiments in the Household Division, the personal troops of Her Majesty the Queen.
