Army Launches Officer Recruitment Drive Across UK Universities

The British Army is launching its first recruitment campaign to attract new officers in almost 10 years amid a dramatic drop in applications.

The move comes after a drop in the number of graduates and school leavers opting for a career in the forces.

Well the recruitment drive kicked off with two roadshows - one of them at St Andrews in Scotland.

"This recruitment campaign aims to bring the Army to the forefront of university students' hearts"
Major General Paul Nanson

Potential recruits can pit their wits against a virtual reality Sandhurst obstacle course and a parachute jump, trial their fitness in a virtual "bleep" test to see if they can beat an army physical training instructor, and hone their leadership skills in an interactive winter aid exercise.
