'Bomb Magnet' Soldier Honoured With Military Cross

A soldier who has survived IED blasts in Iraq and Afghanistan on seventeen separate occasions has been awarded the Military Cross.
 
Warrant Officer Class 1 Patrick Hyde has been nicknamed "bomb magnet" after his close calls with missiles and IEDs.
 
He received his operational honour alongside two other members of his battalion, who were receiving the same award.
