British Army Presence in Fallingbostel Remembered

The British Army leaves Fallingbostel in Germany next year and a former soldier wants to preserve the memory of a presence that dates back to the Second World War.

Kev Greenhalgh served for twenty years in the north German town, where he also pursued his hobby as an amateur archaeologist.

Much of what he dug up relates to World War Two and now he has assembled it all in a museum close to the site of a camp that once held British prisoners of war.
