Cause of Marne Barracks Explosion Still Unknown
The Deputy Chief Constable of North Yorkshire has told Forces TV that the explosion heard by security staff at Marne Barracks in Catterick at the weekend remains a mystery - but the investigation is continuing.
A six-mile stretch of the A1 was closed after police receiving eight calls about the blast in the early hours of Saturday morning.
