Charity Cycle Ride to Honour Bill Coltman VC

Army veterans of the Staffordshire Regiment are protesting at the feared sell-off of a Drill Hall named in memory of their most famous comrade.

Bill Coltman VC, won higher medals for courage than any other non-officer in the First World War.

His modern-day comrades are organising a 100 mile charity cycle ride tomorrow to highlight a plan which they say fails to honour the town’s bravest son.
