Coldstream Guards Test Their Skills

Coldstream Guards Test Their Skills

The Coldstream Guards have taken part in a “fast and consistent” exercise on the Longmoor training camp.

The tempo of the 24-hour exercise meant there was no time for sleep for the soldiers as their skills and drills were tested.

The Coldstream Guards is the oldest regiment in the British Army in continuous service, originating in Coldstream, Scotland in 1650.

The regiment is also a ceremonial battalion which is trained for state and Royal ceremonial tasks.

The Band of the Coldstream Guards played Happy Birthday to the Queen during the monarch’s 90th birthday celebrations last week
