Double Amputee Soldier Celebrated At Awards Ceremony
A photo of a double amputee taken by rockstar Bryan Adams has won a prestigious magazine award.
Former soldier Sergeant Rick Clement was virtually cut in half by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in 2010.
The photo of him in a wheelchair graced the cover of the Big Issue magazine during Remembrance week.
Rick is delighted with the PPA Cover of the Year award but didn't want an important message to be lost amid the glamour of the event. He said:
"Hopefully the public are realising there are still people out there who are ex military and need help."
