Drawdown From Germany

As the drawdown in Germany continues British Forces have formally ended a 62-year presence at Elmpt on the Dutch border.

The village was initially home to a Royal Air Force base better known as RAF Bruggen.

The Army renamed it Javelin Barracks in 2002 and the last units there are now moving to Britain.

Catterick Garrison in Yorkshire has been in the spotlight recently as thousands of troops arrive from Germany, Cyprus and from Norfolk to make the base their new home.
