Fresh Thinking For Training In Germany

A British Army review is currently assessing the viability of a proposed joint German-British military training establishment to be set up in Germany once British Field units have left the country in 2020.

That is according to Britain’s Defence Attaché in Berlin.

Brigadier Rob Rider says that it is one of many ideas being considered as German and British forces work ever more closely together.

This week’s attacks in Brussels will only fuel the two countries’ deepening security ties. Brigadier Rider said:
“That clearly involves a high level of co-operation between the intelligence services which I’m obviously not going to talk about here but it’s something we continually try and improve and we also exchange lots of ideas on the method of operations of Daesh and any other terrorist organisations.”
