Honours for Victoria Cross Hero Pte Henry May

A Glaswegian soldier who braved a “hail of lead” to rescue two fellow soldiers during the First World War has been formally recognised in his home city today.    

Private Henry May was honoured with a paving stone 100 years to the day for an act of bravery which earned him the Victoria Cross.
