Investigation Begins Into Soldier Parachute Death

A British soldier has died in a parachuting incident at a sky diving centre in Bad Lippspringe in Germany.

Next of kin have been informed.

The Ministry of Defence says it was a "non-operational" fatality which happened yesterday afternoon.

An MOD spokesman said:

"The incident is being investigated and it would be inappropriate to comment further. Our thoughts are with the soldier’s family at this time.”
