Keeping ISAF Troops in Afghanistan Beyond 2014 Crucial

One of Britain's highest ranking commanders in Afghanistan has warned a complete pull out of coalition forces by 31st December, must not be allowed to happen.

A key security agreement crucial to allowing ISAF troops to stay on to support Afghan forces remains unsigned until Afghan's new President is appointed.

The Chief of Staff for ISAF Command in Afghanistan, Army Major General Richard Nugee says there is a potential that things would go wrong if forces left completely - comparing it to Iraq's civil war after Armerican forces left the country.
