Lancashire Troops Take Over From The Yorkshiremen In Cyprus

After several years in Cyprus, 2nd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment (2 YORKS) are leaving the island this summer and returning to Catterick.
 
2 YORKS will re-role as a light mechanised battalion
The Battalion is being replaced by troops from The 1st Battalion, Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (1 LANCS), which is also part of the King’s Division.
 
To mark the handover both battalions gathered in Episkopi for a ceremonial lowering and raising of regimental flags.
