Last Remaining Armoured Division Parades in Germany

A major parade to mark a change of role for the British Army’s last remaining armoured division has taken place at Herford in Germany.

First Armoured Division is losing its tanks and changing its name to 1st (UK) Division and will take charge of the Army’s new light-roled Adaptable Force of regulars and reserves.

The Division moves to York next year and the parade also heralds the start of the British Forces complete withdrawal from Germany.
