Loch Ness Monstered
Six intrepid soldiers are marking 300 years of The Sappers by running, climbing and cycling 220 miles around the Scottish Highlands.
The team from 39 Engineer Regiment, based at Kinloss Barracks, are fundraising for both ABF: The Soldiers Charity and Chest Heart And Stroke Scotland.
They set off from Fort Augustus and are making their way to Inverness
The journey started with a mountain bike ride from their base in Kinloss and after a few close encounters with local wildlife they ditched their bikes and climbed all the way to the summit of Ben Nevis.
Another part of their journey included the stunning scenery of the Loch Ness Marathon course.
Aching limbs are the price the lads are paying to raise cash for their charities but despite the pain there’s already talk of more challenges in the future.
