Meet the Real Captain Blackadder
Newspapers report there was a Captain Blackadder who fought during the First World War. A Lieutenant George and Private Baldrick have also been discovered.
Unlike his cowardly onscreen namesake the real Captain Blackadder was awarded the Military Cross and survived the war.
