'More Cooperation Between Forces' Says Deputy Army Chief

As Germany and Britain’s military relationship intensifies the Army’s second most senior officer predicts that British and German battalions will soon be working in each other’s countries’ brigades.

Lt General Sir James Everard has also confirmed that a study is considering the retention of some British military training facilities in Germany after field units have left in 2020.

The idea of the two Armies setting up a future joint training unit based at Sennelager is something General Everard has been discussing with his German counterpart.
