Nine Months of Intense Training For 1 Royal Irish

As part of the restructuring of the Army under 2020 Shropshire's 1 Royal Irish Regiment are re-roling.

They will leave 16 Air Assualt after a decade of service at the end of the year to join 160 Brigade as a Light Protected Mobility Battalion.

Their fleet of new vehicles has just arrived at their barracks in Ternhill and a nine month period of intense training is underway.

Fiona Weir joined them on Swynnerton Training Area where they were putting the Foxhound through its paces.
