Ridgeback Inquest Begins Into Soldier Deaths

An inquest has heard that a loud bang and a cry of "We're going in" were heard in the moments before an armoured vehicle rolled into a canal in Afghanistan killing

four people inside,

Colour Sergeant Martyn Horton, Private Douglas Halliday and Private Alex Isaac - from the 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment, and Lance Corporal David Ramsden from the Yorkshire Regiment were killed in the incident in June 2010.
