Scottish Soldiers In Emotional Homecoming

More than 60 soldiers have returned to their base in Scotland after a four month tour of Afghanistan.
 
The Royal Highland Fusiliers, the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (2 SCOTS) were welcomed at Glencorse Barracks in Penicuik in the early hours of the morning by their families and loved ones.
 
They deployed on Operation Toral back in August, supporting the enduring NATO mission in Kabul.
 
The second half of the battalion, along with troops from Balaklava Company 5 SCOTS, will remain in Afghanistan until April.
