
Soldier Arrested After Crash Kills Teenage Girls

The MoD have confirmed that a 24-year-old man, arrested on two counts of suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two teenage girls were struck by a car, is a serving soldier.
A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defence said: "We can confirm that a fatal road traffic collision occurred in Aldershot Garrison and that a soldier is currently being held by Hampshire Police."
It's understood that the two young women, named locally as 17-year-old Lucy Pygott and 16-year-old Stacey Burrows, were hit by a black Ford Focus while out running on Tuesday evening.
The driver, who remains in police custody has also been charged with two counts of careless driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
Both girls were members of Aldershot, Farnham and District Athletic Club (AFD).
