Unique Meeting Of Minds For Soldiers & Muslim Students
42 North West Infantry Brigade has been taking part in a ground breaking community engagement project.
For the first time, they have been invited into a Blackburn mosque to talk about the role of the British Army and what it has to offer.
The college is opposite Somme Barracks, which is home to soldiers from The 4th Battalion, Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (4 LANCS).
Both the military and the mosque are keen for this new relationship to develop.
Talha Ahmed, Senior Leadership, Jamiatul-Iim Walhuda, College Of Islamic Knowledge And Guidance said:
"I'm sure that the direction we're going in is the right direction and we will get there and we will get representation from all sections of society, in the British Army and the British Army will be a very diverse, strong, ethical British Army."
