Is The Yorkshire Regiment Looking For You?
A campaign has launched to find Yorkshiremen and women who have served their country.
The Yorkshire Regiment Association is looking for some of the 4000 soldiers who have fought with the regiment since it took its current form a decade ago.
The newly formed association knows the whereabouts of just 1000 which leaves a good many proud Yorkshire warriors still to find.
The Yorkshire Regiment has a 300 year heritage, with roots dating right back to the North American wars and the Battle of Waterloo.
The associations founding members met in York for the first time, to discuss their strategy over pie and peas.
