Yorkshire's Finest Honour A Footballing Hero
In recent months, the Yorkshire Regiment has been on tour parading through York, Middlesbrough, Rotherham and Sheffield to mark 10 years of its proud time in the British Army.
Lt Col Sam Humphris MBE said of his men:
"I always say that all my soldiers are tough, honest, straight-forward, very proud, and full of character, and I think that's what epitomises the Yorkshire soldier."
There's also been a chance to honour a hero from their ranks who died in the First World War.
2nd Lieutenant Donald Bell was a professional footballer when he joined up to fight for his country a century ago.
He remains to this day the only professional footballer to ever be awarded the Victoria Cross.
