Check a trade: new Gurkha engineers take test to determine future role in Army
The newest members of the Queen's Gurkha Engineers have just found out exactly how they'll be spending their time in the British Army.
Draughtsmen, drivers, bricklayers, concreters, plumbers, welders and even air conditioning fitters - the Army needs them all.
But the question is, who should do which job? That's where trade selection tests come in.
This year the unit gained 33 keen new sappers and, after a week of study and examinations in maths, technical drawing, dexterity and hand-eye coordination, they've finally been told what role they will serve in the Army.
