Heavy, hilly and hard: Pirbright instructors try their hand at Gurkhas' Doko Race

Training staff take on Brigade of Gurkhas' Doko Race

Armed Forces training staff have been given a taste of Gurkha recruitment, taking part in a five-kilometre Doko Race at Army Training Centre Pirbright.

This involves strapping a weighted Nepalese basket over your back and head, then taking on a gruelling hill run.

It's a must-pass requirement for aspiring Gurkhas to move through selection and join the ranks of the British Army.
