Commando aviators reunited with family in time for Christmas after Mediterranean deployment

Families gathered at RNAS Yeovilton to welcome home more than 125 commando aviators who have spent recent months deployed to the Mediterranean.

The personnel from 845 and 847 naval air squadrons touched down on Friday in Wildcat and Merlin helicopters at the Somerset base where they were then reunited with their loved ones in time for Christmas.

The returning personnel had spent time in countries including Montenegro, Cyprus and Algeria while on board RFA Argus.

As the video above shows, there were some emotional scenes when they were reunited with their loved ones.
