Royal Navy vessel HMS Tamar has highlighted concerning waste findings after "just an hour" of litter picking.

Known as the Navy's first 'Green' warship, the sea vessel posted on Twitter a picture of the plastic waste and rubbish they discovered floating in the ocean.

It said: "TAMR 'litter picked' this much waste in just an hour, showing the prevalence of the problem. TAMR is the RN's first 'green' warship, design is one step, but changing everyday attitudes is vital to safeguard oceans."
