Superman's Royal Marines Video Goes Viral

Superman actor Henry Cavill is no stranger to a box office smash but his latest film is flying high across social media, rather than the silver screen.

In a bid to raise money for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust he's recently taken part in the Commando Challenge and is now offering himself up as a host on the London Eye.

In return for a donation people are being given the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to London and a 'flight' with the Hollywood star.

Cavill, who is an ambassador for the charity, has an older brother who is a serving Royal Marine and another who is a former British Army officer.

The actor, who has also starred in The Tudors and The Man From U.N.C.L.E, did indeed toy with the idea of following his siblings in joining up but the allure of greasepaint proved stronger than that of camo cream.

Other videos taking social by storm at the moment include the #MannequinChallenge. Proving they're no strangers to standing to attention for long periods of time, the Chelsea Pensioners have now got in on the act.

Shot on location at their 324-year-old home at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, it shows the scarlet glad veterans taking part in some of their daily activities.
