Eurofighter Typhoon: Next Generation
The next generation of Eurofighter Typhoons could get one of the world's most advanced radar systems.
The UK and the other partner nations behind the plane have signed a €1 billion contract to develop what's known as an 'E-scan radar'.
Once in service it will enable RAF aircraft to bomb targets on the ground at the same time as dealing with threats in the air.
