The Few: Remembering Heroic Battle Of Britain Pilots

In 1940, RAF pilots fought off the German Luftwaffe in the climax of the Battle of Britain, with both sides intent on winning air supremacy over England.  
 
If Germany had succeeded, it would have set the conditions for a full-scale invasion.
 
But they failed, thanks to a group of young pilots who Winston Churchill described as “The Few”.
 
Forces News' Charlotte Cross went to meet Simon Richey, whose father and uncle were both Spitfire pilots during that time.
