£10m Set Aside For Veterans With Hearing Problems

The Chancellor, George Osborne, has announced that £10 million is to be set aside to support members of the Armed Forces and veterans who suffer from hearing problems.

The move follows the Royal British Legion's 'Lost Voices' report, which called on the government to provide better support to those with hearing difficulties caused by military service.

The legion says UK veterans under the age of 75 are three and a half times more likely than the general population to report difficulty in hearing.
