Red Arrows to kick off season at Midlands Air Festival after getting public display licence

The iconic Royal Air Force aerobatic team will commence their flying display season at the Midlands Air Festival.
The Red Arrows were recently granted official approval to display for the public following the completion of their pre-season and an annual assessment.
The red jets passed the detailed assessment, known as the public display authority (PDA), covering all aspects of operations.
The Midlands Air Festival is taking place at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from 30 May to 1 June.
The festival, which has been running for the past seven years, features air displays, large model aircraft, and exhibits.
The team will be performing until October around the UK and in Europe throughout their 60-date flying season.
They will be performing at historic events like the Isle of Man TT races, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The Hawk T1 jets will also be flying alongside some rapid cars at the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which was won by Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton in 2024.
Every pilot involved in the Red Arrows has flown operationally in frontline aircraft such as the Typhoon.
The group have been flying since 1965.
