Meet Army Reservist who worked for UN's Congo mission between Butlins shifts

In the build-up to Armed Forces Day, Forces News is celebrating the role of Reservists like Lieutenant Colonel Sophie Gregory, who spend their spare time making a difference.

While working for Butlins in Skegness, Lt Col Gregory has spent much of the last year in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the UN's gender and child protection officer on the mission, under a three-star Brazilian general.

She offered advice to UN force leaders in a country that suffers from widespread violence against young and vulnerable groups, helping to get children off the streets to avoid becoming child soldiers.
