Fundraiser for Royal Marine who died in his wife's arms raises more than £95,000

A fundraising campaign set up for a Royal Marine who died shortly after getting married has captured the hearts of many and has quickly raised thousands.
Royal Marines Commando Nathan Summersgill-Smith, who served with Boat Troop 43, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer and a GoFundMe page was set up to raise money so his wife Amelia and son Noah could create memories together.
Nathan died in his wife's arms on Sunday, two days after he and Amelia were married, and the fundraiser has generated more than £95,000 for his family.
A statement released by the campaign said: "Thank you to everyone that has donated to this fund.
"On late Friday evening on 22 November, Nathan and Amelia became husband and wife and later celebrated their wedding in the comfort of their own home surrounded by their loved ones on Saturday 23 November, which was then followed by a gathering of friends, teammates, colleagues and loved ones who filled the streets to show their love for Nathan, Amelia and Noah.
"On Sunday 24 November Nathan sadly passed away in his beloved wife Amelia's arms.
"Please keep sharing this page and spreading the love in memory of Nathan Summersgill-Smith."

The 28-year-old Royal Marine played rugby for Colne and Nelson Rugby Club.
After falling ill and visiting the hospital, he was diagnosed with a stage 4 NUT tumour, a rare but aggressive form of cancer.
His rugby club said: "There are no words to express how shocked, angry and heartbroken we all feel at the club."
The campaign has received 4,700 donations since it was launched.
