Amphibious Capability Put To The Test Ahead Of Trident Juncture

Cornwall's coastline has been turned into a military playground for the UK Task Group preparing for NATO's largest joint exercise in more than 20 years - Trident Juncture 2015.

A week-long drill is being supported by elements of all three services, and focuses on amphibious capability.

The show of military might involved Royal Navy warships, amphibious landings, fast jets and helicopters.

For the Navy, it builds on recent missions undertaken in the Mediterranean to aid with the migrant crisis, and comes ahead of Cougar 15, the Senior Service's annual exercise in the area.
