Estonia Welcomes British Troops On NATO Deployment

Estonia's defence minister has welcomed 120 British troops to the country as they start a six-month tour of duty there.

They flew in at the weekend to begin a deployment which will total 800 UK soldiers.

Along with tanks and armoured vehicles, they'll all be under NATO command.

The troops and their armoured vehicles are from 5 RIFLES, a Regular Infantry Battalion based in Bulford Camp, Wiltshire.

The battalion consists of around 600 Riflemen who deploy from their base location on training and operations worldwide.

It's an Armoured Infantry Battalion that is part of 20 Armoured Brigade, within 3rd (UK) Division - 'The Iron Division" that is the only division at continual operational readiness in the UK.
