Gurkha Engineers Practice Trench Digging Before Kenya Deployment

When it comes to engineering tasks, even digging trenches needs practice.

The Queen's Gurkha Engineers, part of 36 Engineer Regiment, are deploying to Kenya this summer to carry out essential maintenance of the training area at BATUK.

70 Gurkha Field Squadron will be rebuilding trenches at the Archers Post firing range in the country.

In preparation, they've spent the last week on exercise in Kent making sure their skills are up to scratch.
