Gurkha Families Based in Brecon Come Together

There's a large and well established Gurkha community in Brecon in Mid Wales as a result of the Infantry Battle School being based in the town.

At Brecon Town Hall, townspeople have flocked to sign a book of condolence for the Gurkha community who have heard no news from family and loved ones based back home in Nepal.

The town is coming together for an earthquake appeal, with collection points springing up all over the town.

This comes as thousands gathered for a candle-lit vigil in London's Trafalgar Square.

Mourners from the capital’s Nepalese community led the tribute in central London, as a large banner reading “Pray for Nepal” was set up in the centre of the square
