Have You Lost Your Antique Ceremonial Sword?

Police in Oxford are seeking to reunite an antique ceremonial sword with its rightful owner after it was found lying in the street.
It was discovered by a member of the public who handed it in to St Aldates police station in the city centre on Sunday.
The sword has a number of inscriptions including "From his affectionate friends Ida and Tom Downing", "B G Baley April 7th 1915" and "Royal Engineers".

Thames Valley Police said anyone wishing to claim the sword should bring proof of ownership to the front counter of St Adates police station.
