Hypersonic Support For Special Forces Troops
Armed forces of the future could be using rapid response aircraft with engines capable of propelling them to hypersonic speeds.
Hypersonic is defined as anything above Mach 5.
F-35s fly at Mach 1.7, while the SR-17 Blackbird, the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft, reached speeds in excess of Mach 3.5.
