Iraqi Foreign Minister Calls For More Support Against Daesh
The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Dr Ibrahim al-Jaafari, confirmed the country's armed forces are ready and able to continue the fight against the so-called Islamic State (IS).
On a visit to London he called on the UK and other international partners to continue to offer support, however.
The Iraqi government has made no secret of their plan to isolate Mosul and attack the city, which has become the centre of operations for IS in Iraq.
