Kuznetsov Back In Russia After 'Destroying 1000 Targets In Syria'

The Admiral Kuznetsov has arrived back in the Russia, after being withdrawn from operations in Syria.

It reportedly destroyed over 1,000 targets in the country before Moscow scaled back it's forces following a ceasefire agreement in December.

The Royal Navy and RAF monitored the Russian aircraft carrier as it sailed through the English Channel, on its way home.

HMS St Albans, a Type 23 frigate, has been tasked with following her progress, while RAF Typhoons are also monitoring the carrier.
