Poll: Should UK Troops Be Subject To Investigation?

British Army Sniper In Afghanistan
The Prime Minister has told defence chiefs that every effort must be made to stop the legal system being abused to bring unfounded allegations of misconduct against British troops.

Theresa May's comments come as two separate inquiries examine around 2,000 claims being brought against members of the armed forces who served in the Iraq and Afghan wars.

The Ministry of Defence say steps are being taken to reduce the number of cases by preventing spurious claims. A number of former soldiers however claim they're being hounded through the courts, adding to calls for the teams leading the investigations to be shut down.
