PTSD Veteran Gets Lucky Break With Uber Viral Video
A former soldier with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has had his lucky break as an aerial photographer, after capturing a video that's gone viral.

Mark Bradshaw, a married former soldier with 24 years of service in the military, caught the moment an Uber taxi was caught by the rising tide on a causeway from an island off the Northumberland coast.

The driver and passengers made it to a refuge on the crossing from Holy Island before they were rescued by boat on Saturday afternoon.

Drone pilot Mr Bradshaw, 41, from Seaton Burn, near Newcastle, captured the drama having intended to film sweeping shots of historic Lindisfarne Castle.

The film, shared on his YouTube account, has already accrued over 150,000 views.

It shows the white car powering through the sea water to make it to a safe haven, as the drone flies above the vehicle.

The seawater is almost at the top of the wheels before the car reaches the refuge. Mr Bradshaw said:
"I don't know what happened to the car. I think they got told that it would be recovered later, but there was another three hours before high tide. Local people have been asking for warning lights or a barrier to stop people crossing when it's not safe. It's bloody dangerous if you get caught."
Mr Bradshaw said his passion for aerial photography has helped him with his PTSD. This assignment was his first after a break while he was supported by the charity Combat Stress.

Drivers visiting Holy Island are advised about daily safe crossing times as the causeway is regularly covered by the rising tide.
