Royal Navy & RAF Shadow Russian Carrier In English Channel

The Royal Navy and RAF are monitoring a Russian aircraft carrier as it sails through the English Channel.

The Admiral Kuznetsov has been shadowed by NATO maritime forces since it completed its role the eastern Mediterranean, where it was part of Moscow’s operation against rebels and militants in Syria.

The Russian flagship will today pass through the straits of Dover.

HMS St Albans, a Type 23 frigate, has been tasked with following her progress, while RAF Typhoons are also monitoring the carrier.
