Thousands Wowed By Military Show At First Glasgow Tattoo
The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Scotland has headlined the first ever Glasgow Tattoo.
Thousands came to watch the show last night at the SSE Hydro arena.
With their usual flair and precision, the band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Scotland delighted audiences at the first ever Glasgow Tattoo.
More than 10 thousand people will come and see them over this weekend.
Over 3 nights the SSE Hydro will play host to 600 performers from bands and dance troupes from across the UK. As well as showcasing some of the finest acts from Holland, Spain and Germany.
The team behind this tattoo see it very much as community event showcasing local talent.
The show has been brought to Scotland from Northern Ireland.
The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Scotland played in Belfast 2 years ago – and in the spectacular grand finale, they led the tattoo cast through a stream of military and Scottish classics.
The Edinburgh Tattoo may be world famous, but Glasgow has certainly given it a run for its money.
Every year now a military band will feature here and plans are already underway for The Central Band of the Royal Air Force in 2018.
