Treats For Troops
When troops are deployed overseas, it's often the little comforts of home which are missed most.
One military wife was inspired to send some welfare parcels to her husband's regiment after he was deployed to Afghanistan last year.
When Charlotte Park's husband went to Afghanistan with 2 SCOTS for nine months, she wanted to do something to help the troops who are still deployed on operations.
She appealed to the local community to help her send a few welfare parcels, and the response was overwhelming.
In total, Treats for Troops on Tour have now sent over 1,400 parcels since November last year, with every one checked and weighed to ensure it gets there safe.
