US Army Hospitalises Poles After Collision

A US Army truck has collided with a van in southwestern Poland, hospitalising two Poles.
It is the third recent accident involving a US Army vehicle in the country.
American troops have been deployed to the country as a deterrent force against Russia.
A spokesman for Poland's Army order force, Major Artur Karpienko, said the truck crossed into the opposite lane and hit the van near the town of Swietoszow.
The van's driver and passenger were hospitalised, according to local police.
In two separate incidents last week, two US Army trucks skidded on narrow, slippery roads in the area, slightly injuring two soldiers.
Poland's local roads are narrow, with one lane only in each direction.
In winter they can be covered in snow and ice.
